Inspired by museum stores such as the MoMA in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris, José Marton, from Marton Estúdio, valued the precision of few materials in the construction of the CASACOR São Paulo 2017 store, called Armazém do Marton . "We wanted to be economical in form and repetition, very close to minimalism and industrial scale," explains the professional.
The environment is composed of wood-like melamine on the furniture, walls and floor. Shades of lead gray and ice, as well as glass tiles, cover the facade and interior walls. The function of the space is to enhance the product. "It is the protagonist of the store", he says.
