Mix of styles marks the Lounge of the CASACOR SP Lofts

The combination of elements and styles was the basis for the design of the Loft Lounge at CASACOR São Paulo 2017. This living space, which resembles the lobby of a good hotel, was designed by Maurício Karam based on three concepts: beauty, sophistication and comfort. The furniture with a modernist influence is mixed with classic pieces. The walls are covered with special paper that reproduces snake skin. Other animal prints were harmonized with the elegant lines of the furniture and the art deco objects.

Black, gray, gold, and pool green make up the space, which has two ceiling heights with different depths. “This allows us to play with sensations,” says the architect. With a more scenic hall, the project also features a cozy living room, bar, and library. The professional's idea was to compose the décor with references from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Symmetry, a characteristic of the professional's work, is present in the smallest details.

The inviting and sophisticated atmosphere is created by the works of art carefully selected by the artist. On the geometric floor, the work Piscina by Luiz Philippe is intriguing. Shaped like a suitcase, the piece is covered in antique tiles (shades of pool blue and white) and bronze. In the painting Purple Sky by Beatrice Hug, the German artist reveals a mix of colors through the union of light and liquids.
