The powder room has long ceased to play an exclusively functional role within architecture. Increasingly integrated into the experience of living, the space makes room for creative choices, experiments with colors and materials and, above all, new ways of thinking about well-being and the relationship with personal space. At CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2026, different projects show how these projects can gain identity, affection and personality.
Among proposals inspired by Brazilian landscapes, references to childhood and maximalist compositions, the projects presented at the exhibition reveal that there is no single formula for conceiving these spaces. Curves, textures, prints, lighting and affective objects become resources to build experiences that go beyond routine and help tell stories.
In Âmago Corten, signed by Marian Jammal, the proposal starts from painting understood as architecture, from color transformed into matter and from curves adopted as language. The space was conceived to go beyond its practical function and take on the atmosphere of a refuge for the senses, inspired by Brazilian landscapes.

Fluid shapes, materiality and lighting guide the composition. The curves direct the gaze and give movement to the space, while clay, sand and mineral tones dialogue with natural-looking finishes. The combination builds a welcoming and timeless atmosphere, reinforced by the indirect lighting, which highlights textures and creates a feeling of closeness to nature.
In O Primeiro Refúgio, by Adriana Fontana, the bathroom integrated into the bedroom takes part in a proposal that brings together affective memory and contemporaneity. The project avoids the conventional children's repertoire and bets on a language capable of accompanying different phases of childhood.

In the bedroom, the checkered pattern appears as a guiding element, accompanied by greens, warm woods, leather and vintage references. The same freedom extends to the bathroom, which preserves the chromatic and playful identity of the space in a more colorful and functional composition. "It is a space that is not limited to the baby room label. The idea is that it tells a story and can grow with the child, without being tied to an obvious children's repertoire," explains Adriana.
Exclusive furniture and decorative objects, developed by Afetto Design, complete the proposal and help build a universe of its own, in which functionality and imagination walk together.
In Lembranças que Habitam, developed by Interior Design students at SENAC Ribeirão Preto, the accessible space is no longer treated only from the standpoint of its technical needs and instead becomes part of a narrative based on memory, belonging and affection.

The concept arises from the perception that a home is built not only by the objects it shelters, but also by the stories preserved by them. The childhood home, pieces passed down between generations and the feeling of going back in time inspired the project, which brings together an entrance hall and an accessible bathroom.
The maximalist language values overlapping colors, prints and textures, while the intimate lighting and collectible objects reinforce the affective dimension. Accessibility appears naturally incorporated into the concept, demonstrating how inclusion and functionality can be part of an elaborate aesthetic proposal, without one characteristic needing to overshadow the other.
By presenting distinct solutions, the powder rooms at CASACOR Ribeirão Preto highlight a transformation in the way these projects are designed. From public to children's and accessible spaces, the common ground lies in the pursuit of experiences that consider not only use, but also the sensations awakened by architecture.
Whether more private or shared, minimalist or maximalist, these projects show that creativity and personality can be present in every square meter of the home. The bathroom thus moves from supporting role to a territory of expression, where materials, colors, memories and individual needs help build new ways of inhabiting.
