The 15th edition of SP-Arte is coming with events throughout the city

Anyone who is in São Paulo between April 3 and 7 will have the privilege of seeing a huge number of works of art in a single space and, who knows, maybe even adding to their collection or starting one. The 15th edition of SP-Arte - The São Paulo International Art Festival is an event that features galleries, institutions and artists from the art and design market. In fact, this year the design sector has grown considerably. Check out the highlights! When SP-Arte takes place, São Paulo breathes art and this year this feeling promises to be even more intense. Considered the most important event in the sector in Latin America, this edition goes beyond the gates of Ibirapuera Park and the program inside the Bienal Pavilion is strengthened, with exhibitors from different regions of Brazil and the world. "Since the beginning, we have been attentive to international market trends and, in this context, we have maintained constant dialogue with the most important curators, collectors and directors of major institutions. Today we can note not only the maturation of our market, but also a growing internationalization of the Brazilian art around the world, with the rise of our artists on the international circuit. Without a doubt, SP-Arte played an important role in this movement, which still seems to have a long way to go in this direction", says Fernanda Feitosa, founder and director of SP -Art . Who is coming? Among the new features are new curators, meetings with artists and the participation of renowned institutions. Among the international galleries, confirmed names include David Zwirner, from New York, Neugerriemschneider, from Berlin, Alexander Gray Associates, from New York, Galleria Franco Noero, of Turin, and Lisson Gallery, of London. Brazilian galleries, in addition to presenting themselves at the Bienal Pavilion, are also part of the event's cultural events agenda. Participants include Almeida and Dale, Dan Galeria, Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel, Bergamin & Gomide, A Gentil Carioca, Luciana Brito, Luisa Strina Gallery and Millan Gallery. Latin American artistic production will be the subject of a special tribute in the Solo section, which will be led by Chilean Alexia Tala. She proposes the deconstruction that Latin America has of itself by seeing itself as a land discovered and civilized through contact with Europeans. The idea of his work is to reverse these views and propose new concepts based on history, anthropology, ethnography, architecture and history. The Performance sector was one of the highlights of last year and now it no longer has a specific space and is once again spread throughout the Bienal Pavilion. The curatorship is in charge of Marcos Gallon, artistic director of Verbo – Mostra de Performance Arte. During On the days that SP-Arte takes place, five artists will perform at alternating times.

Other cool events: Circuitos Ateliês Abertos and Gallery Night. These are part of the program that goes beyond the Bienal building.
