Signed by Hélio Ribeiro and Priscilla Marchetto, of HR Arquitetura, the 44 sqm space inspired by the world of ceramics proposes balance between work, domestic life and artistic expression

At the Deca House-Studio, presented at CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2026, the gesture of centering clay on the potter's wheel is used as a metaphor for a very current challenge: seeking balance between work, home life, and creation. With 44 sq m, the project developed for Deca bears the signature of Hélio Ribeiro and Priscilla Marchetto, from HR Arquitetura.
The space, inspired by the theme "Mind and Heart" and conceived for an artist and ceramist, integrates home and studio, based on a kitchen with a support counter and living and dining areas. Homes of artists and ceramists in Japan appear as references, mixed with elements of modern Brazilian architecture.

"The gesture of centering clay on the wheel synthesizes the concept of the project. From this axis, we envisioned a home in which work and daily life share the same space, without one overlapping the other. Creative work is integrated into the routine and also guides the choices of materials, shapes, and textures," state Hélio Ribeiro and Priscilla Marchetto.
In the view of Dexco's Marketing and Design Director, Marina Crocomo, by bringing together domestic activities, creative work, and moments of rest, the Deca House-Studio proposes a home organized around the life of its resident, synthesizing in ceramics the integration between matter, function, and individual expression.

"The house-studio shows how design can accompany different ways of living and creating. The brand's solutions participate in the architecture with naturalness and precision, in a project that values function, matter, and individual expression," says Marina Crocomo.
In the kitchen, the central island with a Stainless Steel Workstation Sink (Deca) organizes the space and concentrates activities. The countertop, clad in Petra Fóssil (Portinari), rests on a rough stone base. On it are the sink (which features accessories that support food preparation and various jets designed for cleaning glasses and bottles), the Pérola Chrome Single-Lever Faucet, and the cooktop.

At the back, there is a support counter for artistic work. On it are Deca products that aid organization and provide more practicality: the Etrusco Oval Canela Sink, the Round Spout and the Deca You Stainless Steel Square Single-Lever Activation, in addition to the Magnetic Utensil Holder and the Object Holder (accessories from the Nomos Line), which keep utensils and objects organized and within reach.

This creation area features sliding geometric panels, made of Brown Metro MDF (Duratex), which allow the space to be integrated with the surroundings or shielded when necessary, favoring organization and privacy.

In the dining area, a table with an organic design sits close to the bench installed beneath the window opening onto the garden, expanding the seating at the table. Around it, the joinery in Brown Metrô MDF (Duratex) creates a sequence of niches for ceramic pieces and objects, highlighted by lighting points.
In the living area, in front of the fireplace (preserved from the original construction, as well as the wooden floor), a sofa, armchairs, and tables with rounded design form a gathering hub, with furniture that blends references from Brazilian modernism and contemporary craftsmanship. The palette combines white, green, burgundy, dark gray, and earthy tones, also present in the graphic design of the rug.
