Transitions in the home routine inspire the Entre Mundos Deca projects at CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2026

Architect Luiz Sentinger signs the Entre Mundos Deca project at CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2026, proposing a home organized by passageways, inspired by this year's theme, "Mind and Heart." The name of the space translates the fluid movement between different moments of the home routine, made up of togetherness and seclusion, work and rest. Following the trail of the venue where it is housed – the former terminal of Salgado Filho Airport, a place of arrivals, departures, and encounters –, the projects takes this condition of transition between worlds as its premise.

"The project speaks about the transitions that happen within the home itself. Throughout the day, we go through moments of encounter, concentration, rest, and care. I brought these different times together in a continuous architecture, in which each projects prepares the experience of the next. Mind and heart coexist in all of them through the balance between functional rigor and sensory experience," states the architect.

For Marina Crocomo, Marketing and Design director at Dexco, the space presents the brand through a complete house, in which kitchen and bathroom are part of the same narrative. "Luiz Sentinger's project shows how design can accompany different moments of the routine and contribute to spaces that welcome both togetherness and personal care," she states.

"By articulating social, professional, and intimate areas, the projects proposes a home shaped less by borders and more by transitions. Each projects preserves its function, but is part of a whole in which matter, light, and design accompany the changes in the rhythm of everyday life," adds Crocomo.

Soft transitions

The elongated floor plan guides a succession of projects that begins in the kitchen and ends in the bathroom. Instead of rigid divisions, changes in light, scale, and transparency mark the passage between uses. Curved volumes soften the boundaries, while the use of wood and the bet on light tones establish a welcoming atmosphere throughout the entire path.

Practicality in contemporary language

The experience begins in the kitchen, taken here as a space for preparation and gathering, and organized around an extensive countertop that connects to the dining table. Two sinks stand out: the Workstation Black Matte Sink (Deca), with baskets that optimize preparation and organization, and jets that ensure food hygiene and the cleaning of glasses and bottles; and the Suprema Rectangular Sink, with the Spin Countertop Single-Lever Faucet and Deca Urban, also in Black Matte. Detail: the dark finish creates contrast with the light tones of the projects and anticipates a language that reappears in other areas of the house.

The countertop is finished in Petra Fóssil Algodão Matte (Portinari), a sintered stone that results in a high-performance surface, adding a mineral aspect and resistance to heat, scratches, impacts, and abrasion. The wall, in rustic architectural concrete texture, contributes to the contemporary language of the project.

Entertaining, working, and resting

Following the route, the visitor arrives at the dining area, the office, and the living area, presented in close proximity, translating a routine in which entertaining, working, and resting can share the same space without losing their particularities. The Carpigiano SGR flooring (Portinari), which runs through the project, and the Carvalho Brun pattern (Duratex), applied to the woodwork, establish a common reference among the different cores.

In the living area, the curved arrangement of the sofas favors conversation and creates a change of pace in relation to the previous areas. The presence of vegetation, natural light, and light colors builds a more serene atmosphere, preparing the transition to the intimate area.

Intimacy and seclusion

In the suite, the wooden lattice screen delimits the bedroom, preserving the visual connection with the living area. The furniture with curved lines and the cozier lighting reinforce the sense of seclusion.

The bathroom closes the route as a space dedicated to pause. The countertop, which follows the wall covering, brings together two sinks under individual mirrors, each accompanied by a Beta Black Matte Single-Lever Faucet.

Near the natural light entrance, the Velluto Bathtub (Deca), with its oval shape and velvety surface, follows the curves of the floor plan, and the Deca You Square Black Matte Floor-Mounted Single-Lever Mixer for Bathtub creates a contrast with the light base of the project. The composition is completed by the Versa Black Matte Hook and Towel Holder.
