Casa Deca integrates architecture, design and nature at CASACOR Brasília

Living room, kitchen, and veranda open onto the garden at Casa Deca, a 190 sqm project designed by the duo George and Júlia Zardo, of Zardo Arquitetura. The open floor plan brings interiors and exteriors closer together, with wide openings and a composition of materials featuring a natural look and earthy tones.

“Casa Deca stems from the idea of creating a complete space, capable of embracing different moments of everyday life. We sought an open architecture, with projects connected to one another and a close relationship with the garden. Colors, textures, and materials were chosen to build a welcoming home integrated into the landscape,” says George.

The path begins in the living room, where the arrangement of sofas encourages conversation and proposes a spacious, fluid layout. There, neutral tones, wood, and pops of color form a cozy and timeless base, while the proximity to the garden visually expands the space and reinforces the relationship between interior and exterior present throughout the house.

The kitchen is organized around a central island and features green cabinetry that dialogues with the colors of the garden vegetation. There, Deca products are part of the composition. The Workstation Sink brings together different jets designed for cleaning glasses and bottles, as well as accessories that support meal prep. The Enjoy Pro Single-Lever Mixer, with a Class A filter, provides chilled water and chilled sparkling water.

The composition combines Petra Fóssil Algodão sintered stone, with a mineral appearance, the Vestígios collection flooring in the large 120 x 120 cm format, and the more delicate Autoria backsplash tile, all by Portinari. The Verde Floresta and Nogueira Cadiz patterns by Duratex complete the cabinetry, adding depth to the composition and referencing the natural tones of wood.

In the powder room, Deca's Etrusco Basin, developed in partnership with Castelatto, stands out for its architectural concrete finish with a polished interior. The Nex Float Corten Single-Lever Deck Mixer accompanies the composition with precise lines. The space also features the LK Matte Brown Conventional Toilet Bowl and the Deca Slim Corten Flush Converter Kit, expanding the presence of the D.Coat Corten color in Deca's metals portfolio. To finish, the wooden countertop and mirror with organic contours dialogue with the openwork element in earthy tones.

Crossing over to the veranda, the central fireplace proposes an outdoor living space. Clad in Vestígios Decor Mix by Portinari, its half-round surface, in architectural concrete, creates different effects of light and shadow throughout the day. At night, the relief gains depth and reinforces the sculptural character of the structure.

On the facade facing the garden, the Ecobrick Stone and Ecobrick Block Rosso coverings by Castelatto form a kind of portico, with applications in hollow elements that filter the light and help preserve the privacy of the interiors.

For Júlia, all the design choices help keep Casa Deca in constant dialogue with the outdoor area. “Our project values this relationship between architecture, art, Brazilian design and nature,” she says.

By bringing these different uses together under the same roof, Casa Deca brings design closer to different moments of the routine. “Casa Deca presents the brand in dialogue with an architecture that considers the different spaces and moments of the routine. The solutions for the kitchen and powder room are part of a broader project, in which design and functionality contribute to an integrated experience. George and Júlia Zardo translate this vision into a home open to socializing, personal care and a connection with the landscape,” says Marina Crocomo, Marketing and Design Director at Dexco.
