Eliane Martins, managing partner of Casa Cor Goiás, graduated in architecture in 1988 from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (PUC-GO) and, a year later, specialized in Interior Design at the European Institute of Design in Milan. Still In college, he met Sheila Podestá, and their friendship became a partnership, which led to them forming a partnership after completing their studies. Their first contact with Casa Cor was in the 1994 edition of Brasília, when they were invited by the franchisee of at the time, Catarina Bastos, to produce O Quarto de Casal. When the event arrived in Goiás, the duo was also invited to participate. Between 1999 and 2000, the organizers of Casa Cor Brasília and Goiás at the time, Abadia Teixeira and Catarina Bastos, invited Eliane and Sheila to manage the two exhibitions together with them. And, over time, they took over the franchises completely.

About Casa Cor, Eliane says that it is a great experience and a unique learning experience. "Organizing Casa Cor means dealing with adverse situations every day. In fact, there is no perfect formula, it depends on the market. It is not a finished product, we have to shape it depending on the year", she explains. About her partners, she says: “All the professionals are my great friends”. Check out the interview with Eliane below:

1. What have you learned and are learning from organizing Casa Cor?

Thousands of things, situations are never the same. There is something new every day, we have to reinvent ourselves always! Organizing Casa Cor means dealing with several adverse situations. There is no perfect formula, it depends on the market. It is not a finished product, we have that shape us depending on the year. Every year there are new things, each event is unique. There have been editions in which the master bathroom was an object of consumption, then the living room, then came the gourmet space, today it is the studio, the lofts. Can you imagine? a project, but soon it changes completely.

3. How do you evaluate yourself?

Super calm! And very patient. I'm seen as the person who blows (laughs), I always try to compromise, find a way out or a solution. I like to listen to people who need to vent and I try to help as much as possible.

4. Has any trip ever inspired you to create Casa Cor?

All trips always inspire us! I've traveled a lot around Brazil, but I don't know the North region. I studied in Italy and traveled a lot around Europe. I know the US well and I stayed there for four months. Whenever I can, I travel. It's what I do most. I like it! But there is still a lot to discover!

5. Did you make great friends at Casa Cor?

All the professionals are my great friends. At Casa Cor I organize the sales department; my partner Sheila is in charge of the construction work, but I have a great relationship with everyone, including the bricklayers. But the architecture and decoration professionals who have worked at Casa Cor, Today they are great friends in Goiás.
