The cast of CASACOR Tocantins 2026 gained the reinforcement of an iconic figure on social media: Fábio Marxx, performer of Sheyla Christina. Interior designer, entrepreneur, and actor, he signed the Cápsula Mãe project alongside Fausto Paiva Neto, in a tribute to feminine strength.

His participation in the show marked Fábio Marxx's return to interior projects after his success on social media. With 1.1 million followers on

, he had stepped away from projects five years earlier to dedicate himself to communication. His videos cast a critical yet humorous eye on the architecture universe, based on personal experiences.

With the closing of CASACOR Tocantins, which brought together 35 projects at the Palmas Orchidarium, the professional begins a new phase of his career. Combining his areas of expertise, Fábio now selects interior projects and offers his digital marketing expertise to promote them. Below, an interview with the mind behind Sheyla Christina.

Sheyla Christina and success on social media

A native of Cuiabá (MT), Fábio Marxx began studying Architecture, but later moved to Interior Design. His first jobs included a custom furniture store, carpentry, and other professionals' offices, as well as a stint at CASACOR Paraná, in 2019. "It feels like it was part of another life," he jokes.

His first videos on social media emerged as an outlet during the Covid-19 pandemic. Between projects and job sites, Fábio combined his professional repertoire, sharp humor, and the wig borrowed from a friend to create the character that would later be named Sheyla Christina.

"For a long time, I was a full-time employee on a 6x1 shift schedule. My discomfort came from the way bosses treated their employees – and I'm not just talking about me! The creation of Sheyla came largely from that, from the desire to bring this criticism to light," he recalls. One of the examples of this criticism is the hierarchization among the professionals involved in the projects, including architects, designers, engineers, bricklayers, and helpers.

Serious subjects gain lightness through the drag queen, who calls herself the fairy godmother of architecture, Oscar Niemeyer's niece, and close friend of Burle Marx. Sheyla Christina's videos range from reacts to celebrities' houses (and even CASACOR's!), to advice for architecture students and professionals. The comic sketches also hold a prominent place on the profile, with satires of arrogant bosses and absurd market situations.

Between satire and representation

Fábio Marxx considers himself one of the first to bring humorous content to the architecture universe. In the beginning, he faced barriers and even had videos blocked by brands that did not understand Sheyla Christina's concept. Over time, his smart and humorous critiques began to be interpreted from new perspectives, winning space with brands and at events, as well as reaching ever greater numbers.

It did not take long for the message to go beyond the circle of fellow professionals and reach people outside the architecture and design bubble. "Everyone knows Sheyla, from domestic workers to businesswomen. It is really cool to be able to reach different audiences, and only humor can do that," he highlights.

Beyond entertainment, Fábio emphasizes the importance of the representation he brings to the market by giving life to a drag queen. "Many of my followers had never had contact with my type of art before. Being at an Architecture Congress wearing heels, a dress, makeup, and a wig, while the others are mostly white, cis men in ties, makes a difference."

Return to projects at CASACOR 2026

The interior designer had stepped away from projects in 2021 to dedicate himself to the recording routine. "I'll be very straightforward: I weighed it up and chose what was making me more money. I wasn't able to do both things." Everything changed, however, after meeting Fausto Paiva during a trip to Tocantins.

The two met spontaneously at a small bar after a lecture given by Fábio in Palmas (TO). Fausto did not hesitate to invite his colleague for a collaboration at CASACOR, but Sheyla's interpreter immediately declined. "I thought we would never bring up the subject again," he recalls.

The friendship between the professionals grew stronger after that meeting. In parallel, Fábio felt the urge again to experience interior design in practice — including to refresh the references for Sheyla Christina's content. He emphasizes: "I realized I was losing a bit of her essence. I think one thing needs the other. So, I needed to come back to this world." That is how the friends resumed the conversation and decided to co-sign the Cápsula Mãe space.

Cápsula Mãe: a tribute to feminine strength

The CASACOR Tocantins 2026 project proposes a reflection on the power of encounter from the strength and presence of the feminine. Cápsula Mãe revisits references of ancestry, traditional knowledge and the culture of Tocantins, reinterpreted through a contemporary language. Among the choices made by Fábio Marxx and Fausto Paiva, the clay floor, piaçava straw and other natural materials stand out, establishing a direct connection with traditional knowledge.

"I think the greatest achievement was paying tribute to the women who are part of my life. My work as Sheyla is a great tribute to them. I am always very careful not to ridicule the feminine; it is always from a place of appreciation," he emphasizes, commenting on his return to the show seven years after his debut at CASACOR Paraná.

Among the visitors of the show, Sheyla Christina herself also evaluated the project in a fun video published by Fábio on social media. According to the influencer, the reaction among followers was positive: "I was a little afraid, especially because Sheyla is known for her sharp critiques. But the reception was great! The only criticism I got was from Sheyla herself (laughs)."

Fábio Marxx's next steps

CASACOR Tocantins ended its activities on October 10, and Fábio is currently leading two apartment projects in Rio de Janeiro intended for short-term rental. In addition to signing the interior design, the professional was hired to develop the marketing strategy of the spaces. "My work has allowed me to combine these two things," he states.

With a consolidated presence on social media, Fábio Marxx is going through a phase in which he can select the projects that best fit his routine, without piling up jobs as he did before or compromising his schedule of recordings and lectures throughout Brazil.

Looking ahead, the CASACOR cast member has an even bigger goal: "The dream of my life is to have a TV show, about renovation or something else. The day I achieve that, I will feel fulfilled. But it is all a construction," he concludes.
