Sandra Moura pays tribute to the Amazon at CASACOR Paraíba 2018

The second edition of CASACOR Paraíba began yesterday (19) and runs until November 4th, at Tambaú Hotel, an iconic spot in João Pessoa. This year, 60 professionals will be responsible for 32 spaces, guided by the theme A Casa Viva . Sandra Moura returns to the show with Cozinha do Chef . Here, the kitchen is the focal point of the project and is positioned as a new space for social interaction. The dining and living rooms are integrated into it, without any formalities. "The idea is to deconstruct the traditional kitchen, separated from the rest of the house, hidden, embarrassed," says Sandra. The Amazon, indigenous peoples and chef Alex Atala are the main tributes of the space. The large natural stone wall represents the creeks, paths traveled by Alex Atala to give flavor to the Amazon, popularizing local cuisine. The Amazonian flavor can be felt by those who visit the space, as well as the Brazilian DNA, marked by the contemporary, adaptable and sustainable. The reinterpretation of an urban jungle is done through the reinterpretation of the Amazon with modular structures, open to show its identity and covered to soften functional apparatuses. Modern gray is harmonized with terracotta, the origin of everything. The presence of Amazonian elements, which are Alex Atala's source of inspiration, materialize the concept adopted for the space. Sustainability is highlighted by natural stones, herb cultivation and the presence of several species of plants, which invite nature to invade and nourish itself in the kitchen. "We need to cook with awareness of our social role, which necessarily involves the sustainable management of natural resources," emphasizes Sandra.
