Hotel functions as an art gallery with 26 rooms, all different
Located in the trendy Nihonbashi neighborhood of Tokyo (Japan), BnB Wall is scheduled to open in April and has a concept that is a mix of art gallery and hotel : over the past two years, each guest artist has created their own room from scratch - their vision of the world appears on the floors, walls, ceilings and furniture. There were 23 artists who created 26 rooms, all themed and different from each other. Check out some of the suites below:

In the bedroom " The World After Five Minutes" , designed by Youta Matsuoka (also known as Jonjon Green), the furniture and colors are neutral and cozy. But everything changes when you look at the painting on the wall: the same room you are in is represented there in a chaotic way, full of splashes of paint and colors. The idea is to show that everyday life can change at any moment.

Random walls

Signed by Bien, the "Play Wall/Room" is composed of walls with random materials and patterns. For the artist, the space is a kind of fiction created by collages, exposed original construction bases and even parts eaten by worms. To create unity, the furniture is vintage.

In the "Hyoubou" , which means something like an ice cap, the entire floor is covered with resin and the space is unified with white and transparent materials. Indirect lighting helps to create an icy world, complemented by a transparent structure that imitates an igloo and encompasses the bed.

The BnB also functions as a place for art production: in the studio located in the basement, which can be seen from the lobby through a glass wall, it is possible to observe the artists' routine. This is where several pieces and large murals are produced and the public can follow each step. The lobby also has a café and a bar, meaning that even non-guests can visit the establishment and appreciate the works.

Those who choose to stay at the BnB also contribute to the work of the artists. A portion of the accommodation fee goes to the creator of the room, through a patronage system. Reservations can be made on the official website: https://bnawall.com/stay_with_us/
