Hotel Sorano is one of the main facilities of the new urban development in the city of Tachikawa, located about 30 minutes from Shinjuku, Tokyo. According to the ArchDaily portal, the project proposes the concept of "well-being" and suggests a new style of vacation: the short wellness trip, offering health-related activities.

Located in the area adjacent to the renowned National Park, the view is embraced by the building and brought to the interior. The space was designed in the shape of a "tent" that connects the entrance to the hall, evoking a journey through nature, even indoors. The interior design is by the Curiosity studio.

The hall opens directly onto the outdoor garden, surprising the user who goes from an urban environment to a verdant garden. The circular sofas welcome the visitor into a comfortable environment around this garden.

Directly facing the lush Showa Kinen Park, all 81 rooms feature views of the greenery, a wide-open balcony and over 52 m² of extra living space, which has been uniquely designed with modern Japanese elements.
One of the standard-sized rooms, the WA MODERN ROOM, features black tatami flooring and a comfortable futon, facing the outdoor terrace. The view from the room, revealed through the transparent screen, gives guests a sense of tranquility as soon as they enter.

The minibar and other features feature sculptural furnishings, such as a curio cabinet with small openings where amenities can be discovered. The 86-square-meter Spa Suite includes a spa treatment for guests, performed by a therapist. The bedroom and living room are divided by a large sliding door with a washi screen with a landscape motif, reminiscent of Japanese shoji in a modern style.

The tenth and eleventh floors offer wellness experiences; a gym, spa and pool that connect guests with the sky and the greenery. The spas use the hotel's own hot spring water, pumped from the region. The highlight of the hotel is the infinity pool measuring 60 m long and 4 m wide. The view suddenly opens up before the eyes of visitors, who can admire the vegetation and urban landscape that spreads all the way to Mount Fuji.

Facing the infinity pool, the SORANO ROOFTOP BAR, a long, curved bar, welcomes guests during the day and night. The space includes a lounging and dining area with views of the park, reflected in the mirrored wall. restaurant, based on the concept of "well-being", serves menus of Japanese food combined with other culinary cultures.

The restaurant's terrace opens onto the garden with a large seating area surrounded by the park's greenery. The "chef's table" is a private space for special gatherings for exclusive meals prepared directly in front of the guest, under the iconic kitchen of bronze. The hotel concept meets the essence of our current lifestyles, in these circumstances, demanding more accessible destinations to enjoy extraordinary experiences.
