It was thinking about young people who grew up living in the digital world – the so-called generation Y – that professionals Monique Pampolha and Hannah Cabral, from Studio MH Arquitetura, created the Ap. Y studio for CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2017 .
With a relaxed atmosphere, Ap. Y was colored in pink and gray, contemporary tones that refer to the industrial. “Our proposal was made thinking about the young people of the so-called Generation Y, a group of young people who are leaving home, who want freedom and space, which is very technological, but does not give up the comfort and coziness that she had at her parents' house", explained Hannah to the newspaper O Globo.
A special touch in the project was the duo's choice not to divide the 52 m² of the studio with masonry, but to take advantage of and incorporate the unevenness of the space as a way of sectorizing it. A panel of openwork iron and carpentry lead the visitor to the highest part, where the suite is located. From here, you can enjoy the wonderful and privileged view of Guanabara Bay. Another highlight of Ap.Y is the minimalist bathroom in shades of black with gold details.
