With a panoramic view of Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro, this 300 sqm apartment underwent a complete overhaul to adapt to the new phase of life of a couple whose children have already moved out. Designed by architects Roberta Moura and Paula Faria (from the CASACOR Rio de Janeiro roster), the project was born from the desire to create an authentic, welcoming home far from clichés, with the organic integration of the residents' vast art collection as the central premise — which brings together works by names such as Cristina Canale, Fabiano Senk and Elian Almeida.

The original floor plan was entirely redesigned to enhance the use of spaces in daily life: one of the bedrooms was incorporated into the living area to create the TV room, the master suite was expanded to accommodate a closet and double bathroom, and the kitchen gained generous square footage to become a true gathering point.

The interior architecture bets on a neutral and luminous base in the living room, with stuccoed travertine marble floors and white walls that function as a living gallery. The chromatic counterpoint emerges strategically and full of personality right in the entrance hall and powder room, entirely enveloped in blue tones, creating a striking atmosphere that highlights a composition of 12 photographs from the personal collection.

Under the window of the social area, a low wooden bench with a mirrored base serves a dual function, acting as support for artwork and as an invitation to contemplate the Ipanema shoreline. In the kitchen, designed for small intimate dinners, the green ceramic floor and central island in the same shade impart identity and organize the dynamics of gatherings.

The furniture curation celebrates the strength of Brazilian signature design, prioritizing comfort and practicality in newly acquired pieces that harmoniously blend with the family's existing collection. The social area is crowned by iconic creations such as the Astúrias armchair and sofa by Carlos Motta; the classic Mole armchair by Sergio Rodrigues; the Cosme Velho armchairs by Claudia Moreira Salles; the Clave chairs and the Pigmento coffee table by Ovo; the Quem Será chairs by Arthur Casas; and the Trinco benches by Lia Siqueira.
