The colors and characters that defined the work of Tarsila do Amaral now occupy a new space in São Paulo. On display since August 15, the exhibition O Brasil de Tarsila invites the public to explore the universe of the modernist artist through projections, sounds, sets, and interactive features.

The exhibition celebrates the 140th anniversary of the painter's birth and occupies more than ten rooms at the newly opened Nubank Arte Lab, in Conjunto Nacional. The tour presents around 40 works, including paintings, drawings, and studies, in an experience that seeks to visually translate different moments of her career.
Among the revisited works are classics such as Abaporu, Antropofagia, A Cuca, and Operários, as well as works like O Sono, São Paulo, Religiões Brasileiras, and Autorretrato (Le Manteau Rouge). Travel records also help tell a little more about the references that inspired the artist's production.

The proposal goes beyond projected images. The exhibition uses elements such as aromas, soundtrack, and interactive devices to create a sensory experience, allowing visitors to approach Tarsila's production through other paths.

The audiovisual content was developed by a team of visual artists, with animation work and light and shadow effects. The production did not use artificial intelligence and aimed to preserve the aesthetic identity of the works during their adaptation to the immersive format.
The curatorship is by Paola do Amaral Montenegro, from Tarsila do Amaral S.A., and Juliana Miraldi, a researcher specialized in immersive exhibitions. The pair developed a tour that presents the artist's trajectory while transporting her visual elements to a larger and more engaging scale.
