Anchored in ArtRio , Rio's Art Week is now in its 8th edition and is consolidating itself as an event that reaffirms the city as a creative hub and cultural effervescence. One of the good news was the confirmation of CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2018 as one of the attractions of the city's arts circuit. Below are the top 5 of the season: ArtRio 2018 – Hub Event

One of the most prestigious international art fairs in Latin America, this year it had 87 galleries and an audience of around 48 thousand people. Among them 140 international collectors and curators attended the event. The highlight was the extensive program. In addition to the general sectors, entitled Panorama and Vista, another pavilion received the exhibitions: Contemporary Brazil, Solo, Ida, Palavra and Mira.

Bringing together 34 works, the exhibition 'Mufa chaos' by Rio de Janeiro artist Barrão reveals the artist's experimental phase at Galeria Arte Clube Jacarandá The gallery has its second headquarters in the historic Villa Aymoré, in the Glória neighborhood. Curated by Heitor Reis, the exhibition entitled Dialectics brings together works by some of the greatest Brazilian artists, which are part of BGA - Brazil Golden Art, one of the most complete collections of contemporary art in the country. In the photos, the painting by Henrique Oliveira and an overview from the exhibition Janaina Tschape, Lygia Clark, Lucia Laguna, Nuno Ramos, Oskar Metsavaht and Waltércio Caldas.

Painting by André Griffo in the group show "Too Heavy to Breathe" at the new Galeria Athena, in the Botafogo neighborhood. The exhibition with a strong political slant is curated by Lisette and features around 40 works in a variety of media. Iran do Espírito Santo & Fred Sandback at Carpentry Gallery

Brazilian artist Iran do Espírito Santo is exhibiting a selection of previously unseen works alongside works by American artist Fred Sandback at Carpintaria, a space owned by Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel in Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition's purpose is to bring together artists, with forms of expression and diverse languages. Carpentry Jardim Botânico Street 971 Jockey Club of Rio. Until November 10th.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2018 occupies the former headquarters of the Monteiro Aranha group, a property on Ladeira de Nossa Senhora that has a ten-story building, a colonial-style house and an open area of 2,500 m². The exhibition is made up of 42 spaces, which are guided by the themeA Casa Viva , which highlights harmony with nature, coexistence and affective memories. One of the participants in the event is Gisele Taranto, who designed the Suíte da Woman . In it, Vanda Klabin is responsible for the art curation, with an incredible selection of pieces that make up the décor of the space. CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2018 takes place until November 4th, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 12pm to 9pm; Sunday, from 12pm to 8pm, at Ladeira de Nossa Senhora, 163 – Glória.
