ArtRio kicks off its 10th edition. This year, the event features a dual experience: the in-person fair, from October 14th to 18th, at Marina da Glória, and also an online edition at
www.artrio.com , on a special platform, with an agenda that will run until October 25th.

At Marina da Glória,
ArtRio galleries will occupy the main pavilion following all safety protocols indicated by the competent bodies, including the requirement to wear a mask, the provision of alcohol gel and social distancing.

The number of visitors will also be limited, with an indication of entry time and length of stay. The institutions present are: 50x5, Capacete, Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage, Évora + RUA Arquitetos, FUNARJ, Galeria Aymoré, Imagens do Brasil, Instituto Vida Livre, MAM Rio, Plataforma 01.01, Solar dos Abacaxis. HOA and MAM SP will be present at the online fair.

Images of Brazil: This year,
ArtRio will have a space dedicated to the Images of Brazil project, carried out by photographer Renato Soares. For over 30 years, Renato has dedicated himself to photographing indigenous communities from different regions of the country. 1/3 of the sales value of He passes his photos on to the communities portrayed, respecting the right to use the image. Renato will present previously unpublished photos of Brazilian villages at the fair.
Parque Lage School of Visual Arts - EAV: In the 2020 edition of
ArtRio , Antonio Dias, Brígida Baltar, Cristiano Lenhardt, Ernesto Neto, Iole de Freitas, Laura Lima, Lucia Laguna, Luiz Zerbini and Rafael Alonso make up the selection of artists from the Collection AMIGO EAV that can be seen at the fair. The works were kindly donated in recent years by the artists, who showed their commitment and partnership with the School of Visual Arts in the training of other artists - all proceeds raised from the sale of the works are donated to the public education program of the School and makes our Training and Deformation Program and social scholarships happen, in addition to providing a 50% discount for students at public universities throughout Brazil.

MAM Rio: The Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro (MAM Rio) presents the 7th edition of the Collectors Club at its stand at
ArtRio . The new set of works, conceived for the fair, presents four photo-performances by Ana Beatriz Almeida , Ayrson Heráclito, Paula Scamparini and Rafael Bqueer, printed on cotton paper. The four images capture moments in which the artists' bodies transform the landscape into a performance space. The museum will simultaneously launch two special editions, with a print run of 30 copies each: one a photolithography by Luiz Zerbini, in which the artist experiments with the direct printing of leaves, fruits, bark and thorns; and a ready-made by Marcos Chaves, which explores the theme of polarization in Brazil today.
