Art is the protagonist in Marcelo Diniz's Bathroom at CASACOR SP 2018

More than a functional space, the Public Bathroom , designed by Marcelo Diniz at CASACOR São Paulo 2018, is an ode to art from the moment the visitor enters the space. In it, a color palette based on earthy tones is worked from the coverings to the pieces that make up the place. Upon entering the bathroom, visitors are immediately surprised by the arrangement of the stone sinks, which are supported by a continuous leather swing, which transforms into an art installation. In it, the taps give the impression of a water spout, providing a natural and peaceful atmosphere.

Other elements with a strong visual impact divide the scene in the environment, as in the case of the Guardione wall lamps, designed by Diniz. With a long base, metal structure and ceramic dome, the pieces demarcate the existing pillars, in addition to reinforcing the sets of light. In the decor, there is also the THA armchair, which stands out in the project due to its low navy blue teardrop-shaped seat and asymmetrically curved backrest.

In terms of art, which is the project's strong point, in the background , there is a large painting by the artist Deise Pucci. On the stone block, there is a bronze sculpture by Sonia Ebling, a work that evokes the feminine essence. On the right side, there is a brass sheet sculpture made by Chris Von Ameln using a corrosion process. Finally, a natural cliff photographed by photographer Kiolo evokes all the organic tones present in the bathroom.

Finally, the partition that separates the three lavatories was covered in leather with a quilted finish, a feature that ensures sound control in the cubicles. Each lavatory was also decorated with a photo of Gigi Monteiro and a glass opening that overlooks a garden. of colorful marantas.
