The city of São Paulo celebrates its 465th anniversary tomorrow (25), with several events throughout the city, generating attractions for the population that will stay in the metropolis and enjoy the holiday.
CASACOR has selected some cultural centers that will offer a different schedule in celebration of the festive date:
Anniversary of São Paulo at the Pinacoteca
In celebration of São Paulo's 465th anniversary on January 25th, admission to Pina Luz will be free. The museum will be open until midnight and Café Flor until 11pm and will feature the following activities: 11am to 3pm – Jogajunto. Offering games related to the collection that encourage family and group interaction and encourage attentive, curious and fun observation of the works on display, in the NAE Space, on the ground floor, with the mediation of educators. 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm – Educational visit: Reading the city. Mediated by the museum’s Educational Action Center, the group will be led around the Luz region, with the goal of thinking about the city. How do the city, its symbols, history, architecture and myths of origin help us understand the imaginary of São Paulo? Groups of up to 20 people. Meet at the museum reception, starting at 12:30 pm. Age rating: 12 years old. 6pm – Reopening of the auditorium with a pocket show (voice and guitar) by Zezé Motta.

Special visit to Lina Bo Bardi's Glass House
At 11:30 a.m., the Bardi Institute will organize a special free visit open to the public with the Institute's CEO, Waldick Jatobá, at the Glass House. According to Jatobá, the visit is a gift to the people of São Paulo, who will have a day of free access to Lina Bo Bardi's first built work, the Glass House, which is increasingly occupying a significant space in the city's cultural scene. 1st edition of the City of the Future

The City of the Future will take place in the Historic Triangle, in downtown São Paulo, in the area formed by the streets Boa Vista, Líbero Badaró and Rua Direita. All the events of the City of the Future are free, but many of them require prior registration. Among the participating spaces are the headquarters of B3 (Stock Exchange), which will organize events about the future of finance; the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center (CCBB), with music and arts programming; the Martinelli Building and the Pátio de São Bento. MIS - Museum of Image and Sound
The MIS will be holding a special, free program throughout the January 25th holiday. With a carnival theme, the activities will entertain São Paulo revelers with street parties (Gente Miúda, Arriano Suassunga and Domingo Ela Não Vai), mask and carnival accessory workshops, movie sessions (with the animations Rio and Você já foi à Bahia) and lots of Brazilian music with DJ Simoníssima. Still in the spirit of Carnival, the audiovisual exhibition Ó abre alas brings images of São Paulo's Carnival from the 1920s to the 1970s. To complete the tour, the museum has extended the visiting hours of the mega-exhibition Quadrinhos – which will be open from 9 am to midnight (entry until 10 pm). Admission to the exhibition will also be free, as is the case for all other exhibitions at the museum.

Free Walking Tour of Downtown São Paulo
On January 25, starting at 9:30 am, Shopping Light will be holding a
Special Edition Walking Tour for São Paulo's Anniversary . Residents and tourists will be able to visit the main points of the city center and the listed indoor spaces that make up the shopping center, with the guidance of bilingual guides and sign language interpreters. Ema Klabin House-Museum
The Ema Klabin House-Museum, in Jardim Europa, will reopen to the public on January 25 (Friday) with visits to the collection and a rich cultural program. In addition to seeing the permanent collection, the public will be able to see the Porcelain Exhibition from the Ema Klabin Collection, which, due to its success, will return at the museum's opening and will be extended until March 31. Starting at 2:00 p.m., the Casa-Museu will be offering a Photo Walk through the Jardim Europa neighborhood. The idea is for participants to capture the characteristics of this traditional São Paulo neighborhood, thinking about its relationship with the city's development. Registration is free and is open on the website. You will need to bring a camera, which can be your cell phone. São Paulo's anniversary is also a special date for the Casa-Museu Ema Klabin. If she were alive, the patron and collector Ema Klabin would be 112 years old.
