3D printing of houses is the bet in contemporary architecture

The housing issue is one of the major themes of contemporary architecture. Therefore, several architects are working to revolutionize the concept of construction with the intention of accelerating results and reducing costs. One of these new initiatives is 3D printing of houses.

The first prototype home was built in Austin, Texas on March 12, 2018 and aims to begin printing homes in vulnerable areas such as El Salvador, Belize and Haiti. The priority is to put architecture to work in reducing poverty and homelessness.
