With a social focus and awareness of the current humanitarian crisis, Moroso is bringing to Milan Design Week 2017 an inspiring and reflective work on design and human morality. This year, the brand invited the 16-year-old designer to its showroom : years, Achilleas Souras, who created a curious and sustainable prototype for refugees.

Souras' story began at an early age, with Legos. The young Londoner loved creating increasingly larger structures with the toy pieces, learning a lot about bases and support. This was the start for the designer to enter this universe, and now, concerned with issues global, the boy created the Save Our Souls project, which is on display at Moroso , during Milan Design Week .

The igloo-shaped temporary housing is made from 35 life jackets, six structural poles and Velcro. "The refugee crisis was just a set of numbers in the news, but when I picked up a coat, it stopped being just material. When you hold the jacket in your hand and you smell the sea, you look at things through a different prism and you realize that each one of them represents a human life," explains Souras.

Your project aims to alert society that there is a refugee crisis and that something needs to be done, being a symbol of awareness and social responsibility. "Refugees, the homeless and the less privileged cannot be out of sight, out of mind. mind. These are global issues that affect us all and we must try to resolve them," he concludes. https://twitter.com/MOROSOfficial/status/849538715374452740 Watch below the video about the Achilleas Souras project that Moroso presents at Milan Design Week 2017 !
