A Gente Transforma is a project by Marcelo Rosenbaum that was born from an impulse, a concern and understanding of the need to value human beings and their legitimate ancestral knowledge as a tool for transformation and freedom (to find out more, click here! ).

Due to its importance and social thinking, the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) invited him to develop the Molongó project in the Nova Colombia Community. To do this, the design office went through a nine-day immersion experience in the region, to understand and analyze the culture and needs of the local people.

Molongó is an Amazonian tree with a thin, tall and light trunk, found in the region's flooded forests. With sustainable management, using the species' branches, designer Sarah Colson created the 'Galho do Molongó' spoon, which fulfills an educational role, it feeds the collective identity and imagination and rescues play.

(Diego Cagnato)
