To create the Cozinha Legado Deca projects for CASACOR Tocantins, which occupies the Palmas Orchidarium until October 10, architect Daniella Torres drew on her most personal memories. Referencing her roots in Minas Gerais and with the intention of honoring her father, who loved to cook, she developed a cozy and affectionate projects, ready to prepare meals, welcome family and friends, and share.
"My father showed love in the kitchen. He brought people together at the table with simplicity, presence, and generosity, and also shared his recipes on YouTube. The Cozinha Legado Deca is a tribute to that relationship and to the happy moments he created around food," says Daniella Torres.
With 80 sqm, the projects brings together kitchen, dining room, and a small living area. In the center, an island concentrates the work area and also includes spots for quick meals and conversations. There, the Deca Stainless Steel Workstation Sink offers different jets for cleaning glasses and bottles, as well as accessories. Next to it, the Chrome Retractable Countertop Shower helps fill pots and wash food, while the Chrome Pérola Single-Lever Mixer completes the composition.

For the finishes, Daniella chose to cover the countertop with Petra Taipa, by Portinari, which harmonizes with the Argilas collection, also by Portinari, applied on the wall of the preparation area and on the floor. The more earthy tones predominate in the decor and create a counterpoint to the deep blue Duratex finish of the custom-made cabinetry, which houses ovens, appliances, and a cooktop.
In this preparation area are the accessories that help with the routine, such as Magnetic Utensil Holder, Glass Holder, Shelves, and Object Holder – all from the Nomos line. On the hutch attached to the kitchen, the Towel Holder, from the same line, also completes the composition.

The dining area, in turn, features a table with a top also in Petra Taipa, by Portinari, and chairs upholstered in leather with modern design. The space is framed by a sculptural shelving unit, which combines shelves with rounded corners, some vases, and built-in lighting. The structure extends to the washbasin, where the Etrusco Oval Canela Basin, by Deca, in architectural concrete, dialogues with the curved shapes of the composition and is accompanied by the Pérola Wall-Mounted Faucet. On the wall, pieces from the Autoria collection, by Portinari, alternate light tones and wine, forming a graphic plane.

A selection of tapestries also brings color and movement to the projects: one of the pieces used by Daniella is signed by architect Rodrigo Ohtake and the other is part of the Vilanova Artigas collection, both by Punto e Filo. The architect also designed two exclusive light fixtures for the projects: the Elo and the Coluna Pingo distribute points of light throughout the space and complete the welcoming composition.
This encounter between memory, design, technology, and architecture proposed by Daniella also translates the positioning of Deca, the brand that signs the space. "The Cozinha Legado Deca shows how a personal story can gain expression through architecture and design. The products accompany the different uses of the kitchen and integrate into a composition marked by textures, contrasts, and materials," says Marina Crocomo, Brand, Channels, and Consumer Director at Dexco.
