With a warm atmosphere, Casa Abraço Deca, designed by architect Cadé Marino – winner of the Kitchen for Entertaining CASACOR category at the 28th Deca Award in 2025 –, seems to try to define the Rio way of living. The 160 sqm space integrates kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom, creating a fluid layout that favors circulation and natural light.
"Casa Abraço is born from the idea that architecture can go beyond what we see to become what we feel. We created an open, affectionate home connected to the small rituals of the day, where architecture embraces the body, the light and the landscape. Water flows silently through the house and accompanies each daily ritual," says Cadé Marino.

The kitchen gathers the encounters, conversations and small daily rituals. The asymmetrical island is the central structure and extends into a dining table. There, the Rectangular Suprema sink, in Black Matte finish, helps when entertaining with accessories that make the routine easier. The Enjoy Pro Single-Lever Mixer, which offers natural, chilled and sparkling water in the same finish, is also highlighted in this area.

At the back, the support countertop brings together the Rectangular Suprema Sink 50 x 40 cm, the Workstation Sink with the food sanitizing station and the glass and bottle cleaning station, and the cooktop over the surface in Petra Fóssil Algodão Mate, by Portinari. The Black Matte finish also appears on the sinks, metals and accessories and contrasts with the light tones and wood, creating visual unity throughout the kitchen. The Glass Holder, Magnetic Utensil Holder and Shelf accessories, from the Nomos Deca line, also complement the kitchen organization.

Another highlight is the woodwork, which creates a kind of shelving on the sides to accommodate objects, books and utensils. Both this structure and the panels that cover the ceiling were executed in the Timborana Silvestre finish, by Duratex, which wraps the composition in the natural tone of the wood. In the center, a circular light fixture creates the visual effect of a skylight and diffuses light throughout Casa Abraço Deca.

In the living room, the wooden brise-soleils frame the entire seating area and maintain the visual connection with the kitchen. On the floor, the Vestígios OFW NAT model, by Portinari, serves as a base for the curved-line furniture, including signature designer pieces, the layering of rugs and the potted plants. In the background, a magenta panel injects color and energy into the space.

In the extension of the living room, the suite is practically integrated into the social area. There, the rounded-contour bed occupies the most illuminated area and faces the care space. In the spa, the LK Bathtub by Deca, with ergonomic design and satin touch, is accompanied by the Deca You Floor-Mounted Single-Lever Mixer for the Bathtub and the Floor-Mounted Heated Towel Rail, both in Black Matte.

On the countertop, two Etrusco Basins with two Beta Black Matte Single-Lever Mixers follow the curved geometry of the mirror. The Single Smart Toilet, in turn, brings together comfort, hygiene and personalization features, such as integrated shower, heated seat and touchless activation. In this area, the Matéria flooring, by Castelatto, adds relief and texture to the light composition.

According to Deca, in addition to combining practical and aesthetic solutions, the project offers a reinterpretation of the carioca way of living and decorating. "Casa Abraço Deca presents a very distinctive reading of carioca living, with open, light projects connected to the different moments of the day. The products accompany this architecture with solutions that combine design, technology and versatility, from the kitchen to the bathing area," says Marina Crocomo, director of brand, channels and consumer at Dexco.
