In Odense, the poet's hometown, the museum is actually a retelling of the short story "The Tinderbox" , one of Andersen's most famous stories, in which a tree is the key to a completely new and magical underground world.
In addition to the fantastic gardens, which invite a physical-visual experience, the project also includes a children's house and an underground museum . This will feature “state-of-the-art technical systems, as well as high-tech scenography , a project designed to contribute to a new way of experiencing Andersen’s magical universe .”
