The magical aura of this garden by Kengo Kuma is inspired by a fantastic tale

Scheduled to open in the summer of 2021, the Hans Christian Andersen House Museum is the latest project from Kengo Kuma & Associates . On an area of 5,600 square meters, the building will be dedicated to the life and work of Hans Christian Andersen , one of Denmark's most important writers, whose fantastic universe inspired the landscaping project. In Odense, the poet's hometown, the museum is actually a retelling of the short story "The Tinderbox" , one of Andersen's most famous stories, in which a tree is the key to a completely new and magical underground world.

In addition to the fantastic gardens, which invite a physical-visual experience, the project also includes a children's house and an underground museum .
