The collaboration between the Japanese studio Nendo and the American company Emeco gave rise to the Su Collection , a line of three bench models produced from recycled and recovered materials from the interior of the United States.
Minimalist and timeless design – that’s what Nendo’s leader
Oki Sato is all about. The aesthetic follows the philosophy of “su”: Japanese for simple and unadorned. Beauty emanates from the essential, expressed in the oak seats, collected from farms and carved by Amish artisans in Pennsylvania.
Other materials appear in the composition of the benches, such as eco-concrete, natural cork and recycled aluminum and plastic. Each bench bears unique marks from the past life of its materials. The pieces are available on the market.
