The Black Swan is the first functional kitchen from CASA COR RS

For the first time, CASA COR Rio Grande do Sul has a functional kitchen that is a showcase and the central point of the exhibition. The Black Swan is the space designed by architects Isabel Macedo, from the Bel Arquitetura office, and Alexandre Grivicich, from Arquitetura Combinada. “It was a huge challenge to create a functional space, which is usually hidden in the displays, and transform it into the focal point of the house. We also innovated by seeking a more industrial style and a more dramatic architecture, thereby showing that a professional kitchen does not need to be a cold and sober project, but can actually create sensations and inspire chefs,” explains architect Alexandre Grivicich. Among the highlights of the project, we can highlight the industrial style aligned with sustainability, employed in the use of stainless steel in the furniture and dekton countertops, which are resistant, durable and functional materials. Another highlight is the planter printed on site, which allows for ideal cultivation of vegetables and plants, since the equipment controls lighting, ventilation and irrigation to the right extent. A green wall with fresh herbs also promotes a healthier and more sustainable atmosphere in the environment.
