Listen to the Podcast now on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/36msXA7 The visual clarity of BC Arquitetura 's project for CASACOR São Paulo 2019 is its distinctive feature, a character that transcribes the new concept of living. Good taste and artistic spirit accompany it, in a harmonious rosé narrative. The Aurora Terrace is a 130 m² space that showcases the delicacy of contemporary poetry. An imposing portico leads visitors to the interior, completely decorated in pink, where they are greeted by a subtle yet extremely elegant décor. The project extends over an incredible 7-meter ceiling height, delivering not only visual but also sensory satisfaction. In a deconstructed living room and a kitchen bar, the environment exudes well-being. The natural walnut floor warms up the predominant color palette, in a light, comfortable contrast.

Made using a more sustainable powder coating technique, the façade has large doorways that allow for an abundance of natural light, as well as cross ventilation and integration between the interior and the garden. The kitchen bar, which at first glance could be mistaken for a bookcase, is an original design by the office and is a beautiful shade of metallic pink. The furniture boasts signature design, featuring pieces chosen by a special curator. The armchairs pay homage to Lina Bo Bardi's architecture, while the modular sofa offers comfort and functionality. A temporal parallel was also established through antique pieces, with furniture from the mid-19th century, which bring to light a prose rich in affective memory. To create an artistic aspect, the terrace columns were decorated with works of art, positioned at low heights, playing with the grandeur of the space. The faces, drawings by artist Florian Raiss , represent the friends of the main character, Aurora, symbolized by an old painting. placed in the background.
Handmade objects such as clay vases, a woven straw armchair and a hand-loomed rug create an intimate homely atmosphere. “Our goal is for everyone to be able, for a few minutes, to be the Aurora who inhabits this space,” reflected the architect Bruno Carvalho.
