JACKET Miami. Urbanitas Master Bedroom - Leo Shehtman. The urban suite emphasizes the differences: the landscape of the wallpaper has personality and contrasts with dark gray tiles, while the contemporary nature of the leather bed contrasts with the mid-century design of the furniture. The black and white rug is at the center of everything and reinforces the sobriety of the line and color scheme.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro. Box 21 - Beta Arquitetura - Bernardo Gaudie-Ley and Tânia Braida. The professional duo was inspired by New York lofts to create the ideal space for a businessman from São Paulo. The gray and black tones with touches of green and pink add delicacy and create a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The high ceiling was the motivation to design the bathroom inside a glass box, the box. Highlights include the garden designed by landscaper Carmen Mouro and chairs by Jader Almeida.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro. Lumina Space - André Piva and Vanessa Borges. Rugs play an important role in this space: they divide the spaces in the 80 m² space, which has a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom on the mezzanine. In addition to delimiting areas, the pieces overlap and harmonize, following the sober color palette of the rest of the loft.

CASACOR São Paulo. Gustavo Paschoalim and Paulo Azevedo - White Cabin. The hall of the apartments was converted into this 30 m² cabin, with wood giving life to the walls and the floor with a lush red carpet. Objects full of history fill the space, from antique furniture to photographs and hand-painted Chinese pots.

CASACOR São Paulo. Marina Linhares - Beach House. White and shades of blue bring a touch of the sea and summer, in perfect harmony with the natural tones of the wood and straw. Cane furniture, like that used in the English colonies in the Caribbean, was designed by Armando Cerello. In the kitchen, Ornare cabinets with an industrial style interact with ceramic tiles from Decortiles, in a 1970s style, as well as overlapping rugs, paintings and blue pillows.

CASACOR Santa Catarina. Pink and Charcoal Room - Juliana Pippi. On the floor, American oak with an exclusive finish. On the ceiling, a wooden lining that disguises the lighting. Against this cozy backdrop, there are antique finds, contemporary furniture, tapestries and works by Brazilian artists. After all, this is a project that portrays the strength and sensitivity of today's women.

CASACOR Paraguay. Gal. Vino y Prosa - Sonia Baez and Amada Alcaraz. Rock star Mick Jagger inspires the project. Leather upholstery is pure intimacy, while the burgundy rug is a not-so-obvious reference to the British flag. In the background, the glass wall brings green and more lightness to the composition.

CASACOR Minas Gerais. Bookstore/Balcony - Ferreira Arquitetura. Camila Ferreira designed the project, with original wooden walls and ceiling covered in a dry leaf tone. She also designed the shelves, with a black trestle structure and a rusty steel base. Two hanging rails provide lighting and break up the formality, as does the foliage carpet.

CASACOR MG. Bathroom - Rodrigo Aguiar. The covering that refers to Carrara marble and the arched shapes leave no doubt as to the desire for nobility. The curved sofa is ultra-comfortable and matches the retro design of the rug. Also note the lighting that comes from the suspended baseboards.

JACKET Miami. Art Trend - Roberto Migotto. In this contemporary kitchen and living room, the intention is to highlight the works of art. Wallpaper in a pale pistachio shade creates a muted background for modern sculptures and photographs by Massimo Listri and Araquém Alcantara. And elegance prevails in the curvy velvet sofa, geometric tables and tropical wooden armchairs. The large rug designed by the architect rounds it off - it was handwoven in Nepal, in wool and silk.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul. Card Transfer - José Valdecir de Jesus (Jotha). In this lounge for relaxing, the mix of elements guides the eye. The nobility of marble and the simplicity of bamboo combine thanks to the common neutral tones. The touch of eccentricity comes in the tapestry and ceiling, which reproduces the famous image of the Sistine Chapel.

CASACOR Balneário Camboriú. The Concrete Room - Salvio Moraes Jr. and Moacir Schmitt Jr. The rectilinear layout of the planes in concrete and natural wood is followed in the excellently finished joinery. Marble flooring reaffirms one of the season's strongest trends. To balance the hardness of the concrete, a bluish rug brings delicacy to the space.

CASACOR Miami. A White Canvas - Roque Saldias. Modern furniture by Arne Jacobsen and Jaime Hayon provides a comfortable vantage point to admire art and valuables, including handmade alpaca rugs. Like a jewelry box, the space is enveloped in the natural tones of wool, gold and alabaster, with white walls. The living room is warmed by a small neutral rug.

JACKET Miami. Jungla - Sandra Diaz-Velasco. The entrance lobby has an impact with large objects and the contrast between the warmth of the wood and the coldness of the metal surfaces. Another highlight is the way it explores the nuances of gold, silver, blue, green and orange in the decoration. The rug's chevron print stands out in the space.

CASACOR Miami. Family Room/Office - Dado Castello Branco. A young couple interested in music, visual arts and literature inspired the 30 m² space. The loose layout and blend of Brazilian and Italian design suggest several possible functions, including living and working. The light blue rug harmonizes with the light mood of the space.

CASACOR Miami. Multi-Use Space for the Modern Man - Tatiana Moreira. The room functions as a library, home office, living room, bar and guest room with a retractable bed in just 27 m², for a man from the metropolis who doesn't give up sunlight. Light gray, military green, pale pink and gold affirm the urban mood of the project. On the walnut floor, a light abstract rug that looks like marble.

In CASACOR environments, every detail is important. This means that from the ceiling to the floor, the decoration is designed to translate a concept. In the 2017 shows, the rugs left their mark, enhancing the spaces and giving life and personality to the floors.

Printed and plain, alone or layered, the carpets were a highlight from Rio Grande do Sul , in the Traslado Cartonário environment, to Miami , where they appeared in more than half of the twenty spaces in the debut exhibition. Check out the rugs that stood out at CASACOR 2017 in the gallery above!
