Colombian architect Sandra Diaz-Velasco, from Eolo, designed the
Senseful Space at
CASACOR Miami 2018. A modern LED layout draws visitors into the space from the elevator lobby. The entire space is made up of curves and arches, which interact in a stimulating juxtaposition against clean, crisp angles, while natural light and a play on the contemporary palette generate depth and geometry. The design of this lounge is all about contrasts. Organic curves offset hard edges; green areas are finished off with high-tech finishes, such as ultra-compact surface flooring, fiberglass wall cladding and pink acrylic panels.
Designed as part of an executive's loft, the room features designer items such as a Zaha Hadid coffee table and a
Toyo Ito Suki lounge chair. Artworks intensify the opposition of the natural and the human. Pieces include Andrea Nhuch's blobby abstract sculptures and Jenna Efrein's more realistic Alligator Monument.
