CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2019 is fifteen days away from its opening and the participating architects, decorators and landscapers are preparing their spaces at full steam

The highlight of the day is the space by Leila Bittencourt, from Oba Arquitetura, in partnership with Coral. The inspiration for the project comes from a play between words and meanings such as Living (alive, living, life, room), Cohabitar (connecting people and sharing ideas). With this, Leila wanted to think of an environment that is at the same time single-family, multi-family, shared with friends, and that reflects new ways of living. “Whatever form we choose, what we want is to connect with ourselves, with others and with Nature,” explains the architect. The goal is a space where we can relax, think, play, unleash our imagination, interact with nature and welcome our friends. In short: spaces that tell stories. With this, he designed an environment that is multifunctional – which could be a family room, a coliving room, open, fluid, with a free plan, where furniture can be regrouped in different ways. “Redefining is necessary, which is why I maintained the original structure of the building, beams, pipes and the original door of the space remain. The general lighting of the environment was created by reusing existing luminaires. I even used lamps that were discarded from other spaces,” reveals Leila. All of this using Coral's color study trends, called Color Futures, and its textures. They are: Citrus Explosion, Winter Square, White Zeppelin, Basketball Ball, Black Forest, Eclipse, Native Forest and Sneaker. And the textures are: Burnt cement and Spring morning. 
Also, a surprise that we are going to reveal here. Leila Bittencourt invited artist Jozias Benedicto to create an installation on one of the walls using only Coral colors. You will see the results at CASACOR Rio , which is in its 29th edition. CASACOR Rio de Janeiro opens to the public on August 20th and runs until September 29th in the former Touring Club Brasil Building, in Praça Mauá. CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2019 When?
