The professionals from the Très Arquitetura office, Fernanda Morais, Fernanda Tegacini and Nathalia Mouco, went a little deeper into history to bring inspiration for the space they designed at
CASACOR São Paulo 2018 . Thinking about rudimentary poetry, which surrounds the beginning of the history of humanity and the symbolic essence of caves as the firstborn dwelling, the trio created
Casa Menir , a name that refers to the first known architectural symbol.
The 56 m² house has a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, closet and an attached garden. Everything is well organized and laid out in a fluid way. The office's great idea was to create a wooden panel in the center of the space, which dictates the the layout of the place: it divides the rooms, but not completely, and allows circulation around it. Fiber ropes were hand-woven by the professionals and form a web that surrounds this entire structural skeleton.
This wooden structure accommodates a bed, sofa and table, integrating the spaces of the house and providing a contemporary design to the project. A gable, in raw granite, which exudes structural personality, has the function of dividing the environments, thus separating the intimate from the living and dining.
In the kitchen, the highlight is the hydroponic garden, implemented by the FAZU project, a startup that, in partnership with the NGO SOMAR, has as one of its objectives to introduce such an initiative in needy communities, with the purpose of generating income and bringing food from quality, without the use of pesticides.
The landscaping was created by Lucia Cabrera, who adds to the garden with colorful mirror screens and a solid wood bathtub.
