CASACOR SP 2018: elegance and sustainability at Casa do Escritor

With 100 m², Casa do Escritor was inspired by the glass houses built in the mid-20th century by the experienced Jóia Bergamo, at CASACOR São Paulo 2018. The single floor is bathed in abundant natural light, but it is extremely cool, given the trees that surround the environment.

Sophistication dominates and guides, in different ways, all parts of the project. In the living room, curvilinear shapes were chosen for their fluidity, while in the kitchen, straight lines and discreet furniture provide elegance and functionality. For the bedroom, Jóia created a mix textures and materials – such as bronze, aluminum and brass – to create an atmosphere that was bold yet cozy. In the office, where the sun shines directly, a double panel acts as a ventilation and shade.

In line with the 2018 theme,A Casa Viva , the Writer's House was designed with a sustainable character. Thermal and energy comfort occurs mainly through the use of the land's resources: openings, transparencies and volumetric structure provide air circulation, heat and light. In addition, the environment was executed with Steel Frame , a technique that uses steel and cement boards in the finishing, which allows for a dry and fast work. Recycling is also a highlight, all materials will be reused and emit about five times less less carbon dioxide than traditional buildings.
