The Restauro Room , by Geraldo Ferreira , reconciles the old with the new and creates a bridge between the two eras, with the use of classic elements such as the boisserie on the walls, along with modern pieces, such as the Alta armchair, by Oscar Niemeyer. Composed with works of art and sculptures, such as the installation João Congo, by Valdelice Neves, an ultra-compact surface plate, which imitates marble, appears with the status of a work of art displayed on one of the walls.

Fernando Cesar created the Meu Quarto space in a style that is considered contemporary, but which respects and dialogues with the history of the mansion. For the work table, Fernando opted for a covering that, with its oxidized iron appearance, matched the sober atmosphere.

Carico Architect Retrospective - Júlia Gontijo Dumont and Tina Barbosa . In honor of the 40 years of professional life of Carlos Alexandre Dumont, better known as Carico, the space recreates the professional's office. The duo reissued furniture designed by him and brought pieces from other participations of the architect in CASACOR Minas. The white marble floor contrasts with gold leaf panels and a six-meter-long doormat designed by the architect.

Conceptual and welcoming, Porão Backer , by Luis Fábio Resende , features ethereal and monochromatic tones, such as off-white. For the bathroom, the professional chose quartz surface countertops , which perfectly complement the elegant style of the proposal, with their subtle beige tone, reminiscent of marble.

Mels Brushes Store - Rosane Guedes . Concrete walls, clean shelves and metalon suspended displays demonstrate the industrial inspiration, with a minimalist air. The refinement is also in the coverings, such as the revitalized peroba floor and the wall that reproduces calacata marble.

CASACOR Minas Gerais 2018 will be open to the public from August 7 to September 16, with spaces that portray the history of Minas Gerais through the lens of the creativity of architects, interior designers and landscapers. The show is celebrating its 24th edition with 45 spaces designed by 86 renowned professionals. Just like last year, the event will be held in the mansion of the Praça da Estação architectural complex, a historical heritage site listed by Iphan/MG.

With the theme"The Living House" , professionals have invested in industrialized materials that imitate natural materials in environments full of personality. Technological surfaces, coverings, works of art and decorative objects not only bring beauty and modernity to the environments, but are also functional and more resistant.
