Casa das Sibipirunas , designed by Otto Felix for
CASACOR São Paulo 2019. They form an open and permeable structure, enclosed in glass, conducting natural light that shapes the spaces in different ways. throughout the day. At night, the lighting between the pillars creates a scenic atmosphere. A delicate visual play that elevates minimalism to another power. This reinterpretation of a country house, which integrates a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen and a suite with a closet in 250 m², has been one of the most celebrated spaces in the show. It is not difficult to understand why Casa das Sibipirunas is so enchanting. Starting with the two trees that already existed on the site, incorporated in a poetic and organic way, giving the space its name.
Three elements
Technically, the house was designed to be light and easy to build. Glass in the enclosure, plaster and Roman travertine take turns and reinvent the concept of a country house, with a minimalist vision. Right at the entrance, the visitor is guided by the walkway in wood and a garden rich in greenery, providing a tropical welcome. The landscaping, designed by Daniel Nunes, is perpetuated in the interiors thanks to the transparent architecture designed by Otto.

The living room has a fireplace in the center, which welcomes and displays the fire - an element that carries the contrast of past and present. The rug delimits the space, without dividing it. Everyone talks to each other. The furniture is a separate chapter . Elegant and sober, it stands out with darker and warmer tones.

Otto Felix used elements and works by local artists, such as the ceramic vases by Cacá Deleva. Inspired by solutions from the 1940s and 1950s, the professional used ceramic flooring found in old buildings in the city of São Paulo as a reference. He recreated the layout with shards using Roman travertine marble, which came from the reuse of leftovers from a marble factory. The same stone is the raw material for the countertop of the minimalist kitchen, seen as a kind of ruin that can be confused with an artistic intervention. Behind the metalwork doors, there is a small and functional kitchen.
The master suite also features designer pieces, such as the headboard and base of the bed.

The bathroom follows the concept of ruin, with faceted partitions that emerge from the floor in an organic way, framing the shower and the DECA sink.
The large mirror in the background creates the sensation of seeing the sun rising or setting, depending on the moment in which it is viewed. To complete the ambiance, tapestries by Juliana Maia and lacework by Tida Ricco.
The dining table has an original design by the professional, made with brass legs and a granite top in a rustic imperial coffee tone.
In an irresistible symbiosis with nature, the architecture balances the rustic and the contemporary. And it encourages a more reflective and disconnected way of living, where the proposal for a simpler life is the reference.
