Casa Cor Campinas: professionals give tips for decorating kitchens and gourmet spaces

It is a difficult task to balance decorating walls, floors, cabinets with household appliances. Even more so today, when the kitchen is more than just a space for cooking and actively participates in the decoration of the entire home. To this end, some professionals from 6ª Casa Cor Campinas have put together some tips to make it easier to choose appliances that match the rest of the kitchen decor and gourmet spaces.

Designer Bia Sartori, who designed Loft 3, at 6ª Casa Cor Campinas, explains that choosing a refrigerator not only affects the available space, but also the resident's consumption habits. “Customers need to think about their food storage habits. If you have a lot of frozen products, if you need a large portion for fruit and how you like to store drinks, for example.”

Architect Eliana Barros, responsible for the Café Bistrô Santa Rita space (made in partnership with André Zanolini), also teaches the technique of positioning appliances in the environment: “The refrigerator should be close to the preparation area, in front of or next to the sink and bench. The stove should be next to the preparation area, which serves as a support. Another tip is to never leave the cold (fridge) next to the hot (stove). Next to them there should be countertops for preparing pasta, sweets and other foods”, he emphasizes. For the more modern, who opt for stoves and cooktops, Bia Sartori's tip is to use just one of the two, as it is necessary to assess whether there is space for both environments.

Another aspect to consider is the color combination as, generally, appliances are white or stainless steel. “With the color white, you can create a classic and cozy environment, combining them with woody materials”, advises Bia Sartori. For a contemporary and hi-tech style, white combines with black and stainless steel elements. If the proposal is for a more modern environment, colors can be applied to details such as yellow, blue or violet. If you opt for stainless steel models you will have an easier time, as the color is neutral and matches any other. It can be combined with warm or cold colors. For a contemporary and even more masculine look, it's worth opting for black or dark woody tones.

Glossy, smooth, matte, patterned or woody stickers can be used, but everything has to match the personality of the environment and the person using that space. You have to be careful not to overload it too much”, explains Bia.
