CASACOR Goiás 2018 , several professionals chose not to cover the ceiling and incorporated the reinforced concrete of the recently opened
Órion building into their projects.

Also called a ribbed slab - because it has structures that look like interconnected ribs (or bars) - this type of ceiling is economical, as it uses less concrete and ironwork in its construction. The large gaps between its recesses free up space and give the room a feeling of spaciousness. . Often, electrical and plumbing installations are installed there and are visible - these structures also end up functioning as decorative objects and give a casual air to the projects.
Another feature of this type of roof is the reduction in the weight of the structure. As it uses less concrete in its composition, the construction is consequently lighter as a whole. In the case of
CASACOR Goiás , this advantage is put to good use: the venue for the 2018 edition is the
Órion Business & Health Complex building, recently opened in Goiânia and considered the tallest corporate building in Brazil.
The 50-story, 191-meter-high building houses more than 600 commercial spaces, 160 hotel rooms, a hospital, a five-star hotel, a convention center, a shopping mall and restaurants.
CASACOR occupies five floors with
43 spaces designed by 63 professionals .
On the first two floors there is a common area with commercial spaces such as shops, a pastry shop, a jewelry store and a gourmet space. On the three upper floors, professionals display residential spaces. On the top floor are the
Doce Doce Café and the
Grá Bristrô restaurant, run by by award-winning chef Ian Baiocchi . The menu offers Brazilian cuisine with French influences. The building's observation deck is home to
Bar do Céu , which will be open from Thursday to Sunday.
