The long-time residence of a couple passionate about their location in São Paulo, this apartment of 144 m² underwent a complete transformation to suit the current moment of the residents. Since they travel frequently, the central pursuit was for a more practical, functional, and private home.

The starting point of the project, led by the firm Consuelo Jorge Arquitetos (from the CASACOR São Paulo lineup), was to resolve the immediate exposure of the living room when opening the front door. The solution came with the strategic extension of a wall, ensuring privacy without losing elegance.

The reorganization of the flows also required moving the powder room. During the intervention, the discovery of a stormwater pipe not mapped in the original floor plan ended up becoming an architectural asset, incorporated with fluidity into the space design.

The generous ceiling height allowed for dispensing with the use of traditional ceiling lining in favor of a plaster finish, accentuated by floor-to-ceiling doors that enhance the sense of spaciousness and air circulation. The floor received a single porcelain tile applied throughout the entire property, unifying the visual language.

In the integrated kitchen, the transition between the projects is marked by a sliding door from the Italian brand Rimadesio, allowing the space to be isolated during meal preparation. The technical refinement extends to the passage doors and the custom-designed furniture.

In the reconfigured powder room, highlights include the sculpted basin, the bronze-toned metals, and the creative solution of perforated woodwork on the wall to camouflage the window facing the service area.

The living room is anchored by an imposing Poliform shelving unit, designed to house multiple functions — office, bar, and china cabinet —, in addition to displaying emotional objects and travel memories. The decor balances a neutral base with occasional touches of color, bringing together signature pieces by Jader Almeida, works from Galeria Carbono, and family heirloom furniture, such as the inherited dining table and china cabinet.
