Biophilia is based on the idea that there is a connection between people and nature. The concept manifests itself in architecture through the presence of plants, natural light, organic materials and other elements capable of bringing projects closer to the outdoor experience.

At CASACOR Espírito Santo 2026, this relationship appears in different ways. In projects that follow the theme Mind and Heart, nature takes part in experiences of welcoming, contemplation and connection – whether through abundant vegetation, stones and natural fibers, or spaces designed to slow down. Below, seven projects prove that biophilia is the keyword of this edition's projects.

A veteran at CASACOR Espírito Santo, Rodrigo Dutra signs an immersive pavilion guided by biophilia and welcoming. The Lounge Receptivo is divided into three acts: the first revives affective memories of the first home through artistic interventions; the second proposes a pause for contemplation; and the third celebrates the identity of Espírito Santo. The densely botanical atmosphere meets a collection of original works, creating an experience in which art and nature take center stage.

The duo Silvia Gomes and Rodrigo Dutra transform the Studio do Artista Plástico into a "biophilic gallery" dedicated to Rodrigo's own two decades of career. Canvases and sculptures guide the layout, while the contrast between raw elements and noble materials appears in the space's original slab. The woodwork creates a welcoming atmosphere, accompanied by the suspended bench and the scenographic lighting that includes a skylight.

Designed as a place of gathering and slowing down, the project Presença - Espaço Gourmet Deca, signed by Geraldo Lino, eliminates physical barriers and puts togetherness around the table in the spotlight. Biophilia takes center stage through an imposing natural stone wall, which frames sofas with organic shapes, tables and chairs in rattan, wooden light fixtures and armchairs in natural fibers. The set creates an unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere, complemented by the strong presence of plants.

Enjoy Business Hub, by Jeiza Fardin

In the Enjoy Business Hub, Jeiza Fardin proposes a pavilion focused on connections and shared experiences, translating the Enjoy Educação business community into a contemporary and welcoming projects. The project has networking as its axis, while the furniture filled with plants contributes to a more fluid experience closer to human needs.

Pulso Interno, by Larissa Emerick Valerio

In the Pulso Interno bathroom, Larissa Valério creates a sensory installation that goes beyond the practical function of the projects. The project draws on the contrast between the wine tone in the coverings and the green of the plants, creating an atmosphere of introspection. Natural stones and mineral textures also add references to the elements of nature.

Alice Pedroni and Daniela Cuzzuol sign the Business Lounge, a humanized corporate projects that questions the traditional rigidity of offices. The precepts of biophilia appear associated with warmth and flexible productivity, bringing the space closer to a more comfortable and adaptable experience. Efficient construction processes and quick-installation materials respond to contemporary mobility, while mineral surfaces create a sophisticated and timeless composition.

O Lugar do Entre, by Fabiana Lamy

In O Lugar do Entre, Fabiana Lamy conceives a refuge inspired by the journeys of the contemporary woman, with a botanical path that invites deceleration and contemplation. An ancestral olive tree shares the scene with an orchidarium that brings together more than 200 orchids, creating an experience transformed by the vegetation. At the center of the project, an oratory shelters a wooden image of Our Lady of Remedies, while the nautical rope furniture completes the atmosphere.
