The space will offer a high-quality cultural and educational program, with art exhibitions, workshops, lectures, debate cycles and special projects around art, culture and knowledge. Casa do Parque is located opposite Villa-Lobos Park. . The coordination of the cultural program is the responsibility of editor Paulo Werneck.
For the inauguration of the cultural center, Tadeu Chiarelli presents his personal selection from Regina Pinho de Almeida's collection. Tension cordial relations presents works by 42 artists. The exhibition project by architect Pedro Mendes da Rocha transforms the Galeria do Parque into a "cave" ", which dramatically sheds light on each individual work.
The opening activities of Casa do Parque include a series of debates, which will take place from March 25th. With the theme Dynamics of Contemporary Art Collecting, the talks are the result of extensive research developed by Nei Vargas da Rosa in Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and carried out with a scholarship granted by the Institute of Contemporary Culture (ICCo). Vargas made an X-ray of all the arts and crafts linked to contemporary art collecting. With 30 guests and five days of debates, always starting at 6 pm, the cycle will bring together exponents of Brazilian art institutions, collectors, representatives of public and private museums and foundations, lawyers, experts in insurance, financing strategies, gallery owners, publishers , advisers and other professionals.
