On June 16, the Museu da Casa Brasileira opens the exhibition Experimenting with Le Corbusier – Contemporary interpretations of modernism . Curated by Pierre Colnet and Hadrien Lelong, from Cremme – Furniture Publisher –, the objective of the exhibition is to present a reflection on the Brazilian modernism, both in terms of architecture and in the social, artistic and ideological aspects.
Artists, designers and architects were invited to participate with works and activities that follow the same revolutionary principles of Le Corbusier's work. Highlights include a conversation with architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, exhibited pieces from the Carpentry Workshop in partnership with the Instituto Leo and the Taquara installation, by the Campana Brothers, in the Museum garden.
Large and prestigious offices such as Aleph Zero, AR Arquitetos, Bloco Arquitetos, FGMF, Gabriel Ranieri, Pedro Ribeiro, Estudio Guto Requena, Metro Arquitetos Associados, MNMA Studio, Nitsche Arquitetos, Play Arquitetura, Terra e Tuma and Triptyque Architecture were also invited to think and analyze the influence of modern architecture within your own work. Check out some of the works that will be in the exhibition:
