One of the biggest names in Brazilian design, Fernando and Humberto Campana, never stop innovating! Known worldwide for their artistic work, the duo exhibited two new collections developed exclusively for the Giustini/Stagetti gallery last month. The project is divided into two parts: Notturno #1 – which took place between October 25th and November 24th this year – and Notturno #2 , scheduled for 2019! Here, we recall what was exposed in the first edition. Tapete e Luminária Bactéria, da série Bactéria (Divulgação)
Two collections were presented at the exhibition: " Bactéria " and " Morbido ", which bring together a lamp, rugs and even an armchair. The brothers explored different geometric shapes and volumes in the design of the pieces, without leaving aside one of their iconic trademarks, the organic lines. The two-tone Bacteria Rug is a collaboration with the Nodus brand, handcrafted from wool and banana silk. The shape of the rug references microbial cultures as seen under a microscope. The lamp, in turn, was made with perforated brass sheets – and presents an interesting play of shadows, once the light is turned on. Poltrona Abbraccio, da série Morbido (Diuvlgação)
Finally, the Abbraccio Armchair from the " Morbido " collection presents an overlap of heterogeneous elements, a characteristic of the duo, and approaches the abstract through rounded geometry, which is welcoming. Those who visited the exhibition can also check out the drawings produced by the duo during the creative process!
