Artistic intervention illuminates the facade of CASACOR Rio 2017

CASACOR Rio 2017 is full of light! The building that hosts the show, AQWA Corporate, received an artistic lighting intervention by LD Studios, Diana Joels and Flávio Berman and made possible by Oficina de Luz . The goal is to promote the recovery and renovation of the port area, attracting the attention of passers-by with nighttime projections on the façade.

AQWA Corporate is an imposing 22-story building located in the Porto Maravilha area and executed by Foster+Partners in collaboration with Tishman Speyer, a pioneering investor in the renovation of the port area. The project is the first in Brazil to be signed by the renowned architect Norman Foster and has LEED Gold pre-certification for sustainability, reusing 80% of rainwater and using the ADC (Call Destination Anticipation) system, which optimizes elevator performance by up to 25%.

The projections occupy the faces of the building, creating a small narrative of flow and surprise, that is, the blossoming of something new, as well as the reoccupation of the region.
