Hidden Color by Christian Feneck. The Massachusetts-native artist presents an immersive installation where the use of a series of green hues, combined with natural sounds, evokes tranquility in the visitor. “I allow each element to influence the next without letting preconceived notions of the outcome dictate the design,” explains Feneck.

Nina Surel. Born in Argentina, the feminist artist studied set and costume design at the University of Buenos Aires and presents a work that offers an alternative narrative to the dominant patriarchal discourse. In the exhibition, she presents a video and a sculpture that aim to capture points of the collective consciousness. “Moving images [that] evoke the healing and liberating powers of what was experienced in so many ancient rituals,” explains the artist.

Unlimited Potential by Flor Troconis & Juliana Aragão. Venezuelan artists Flor and Brazilian Juliana bring their experiences and cultures together to create this installation. In an abstract way, the artists capture the beauty of nature and combine it with the hues of houses and colorful landscapes in an immersive work that leads visitors to perceive the world in a unique and innovative way.

The Faces of Cotton and Wild Violet by Natalia Giannagelli. The designer and founder of Blown Flowers Boutique and Regiment of Love, brings two installations to the show: a flower sculpture and an audiovisual piece. Inspired by Japanese Japanese style, Natalia incorporates this culture and takes the visitor to lose themselves in the beauty of nature.

Aerial map of the Everglades by Lucinda Linderman. Linderman is an environmental artist who came to Miami in search of her ancestral identity, inspired by family stories from her immigrant great-grandparents. Her work for CASACOR Miami is a large aerial map of the Everglades – a protected region in southern Florida of great ecological importance. The work was made entirely from reclaimed materials, without any intervention by the artist. Her work process “involves collecting, disassembling and reconstructing components before placing them into a structure,” reveals the artist who seeks to reconnect the public with the beauty of nature.

Forty-Eight Bricks by Carol Adrianza. The Venezuelan artist is exhibiting a sculpture from her Noble Materials series. Adrianza draws inspiration from the earth and enjoys working with materials such as clay, concrete, water and stone. By exhibiting this piece, she hopes to have the satisfaction of sharing her work with different people, each with their own unique visions.

Stardust Installation by Joanne Stone. The artist's work incorporates pieces of quartz in their original form. The pieces were carefully selected from a Utah mine. Stone's work is inspired by nature and the four elements, which she believes she channels through the materials she uses in her projects.

Art Lexing. In 2010, young Chinese gallery owner Lexing Zhang opened Art Lexing in Miami. The gallery quickly became a prominent space in the city's emerging art scene and began to develop partnerships with other artists and institutions in the US and Europe. This year, for the exhibition, she is presenting a mirror handcrafted in Italy that intersperses three-dimensional shapes to create a rare plastic effect.

Karen Starosta. The artist is American, raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to Miami in 2001. She brings to the exhibition work that seeks to inspire people to act freely. “I like to motivate the public to reveal everything they have collected,” explains Starosta.

The second edition of CASACOR Miami brings to the city an exhibition with 19 spaces designed by renowned architects, interior designers and landscapers, which occupy the Brickell City Center. This year, the exhibition displays a series of spaces that bring the energy of nature to the city center. Selected by Venezuelan curator Jessica Acosta-Rubio, the team of professionals also includes a group of artists who are responsible for the transition between the environments. There are 11 artists from various Latin cities, who live in Miami and propose a testimony of commitment to the Latin community. According to the curator, the city of Miami has become an important meeting point for cultures from the Americas. “Miami is one of the cities in the United States that attracts a wider audience. At this time of year, people from all over the world come to the city to see what’s happening in the world of art, design and architecture. And the goal is to encourage visitors to be part of what’s happening, not only in Miami, but also in the various cities spread across the Americas,” explains the curator.
