Professionals Carla Juaçaba, Grupo SP and Paulo Mendes represent national architecture at the Italian event

The Venice Biennale is a major cultural event that takes place between May 26 and November 25, in the Central Pavilion of the Giardini and Arsenale. Among the many themes covered and contemplated - such as cinema, theater and dance - architecture stands out. . In this edition, three Brazilian names will represent national architecture in Italy: Carla Juaçaba, Grupo SP and Paulo Mendes da Rocha. The latter was awarded the famous Golden Lion for his professional career in 2016.
Rio de Janeiro architect Carla Juaçaba will present in Venice the chapel she designed for the Humanity Pavilion, part of Rio + 20, in 2012. The project is practically translucent. Because it is composed of mirror axes, the entire structure becomes invisible depending on the angle and lighting. .
