The exhibitions aim to delve deeper into two periods (architecture and furniture), which outline unique initiatives and research, in which the architect focused on formal inventiveness guided by risk. The last exhibition, which placed Ohtake's work in perspective, took place in 2008. , at FAU-USP to celebrate the college's 60th anniversary.

The exhibition at the Museu da Casa Brasileira, held in association with the Museu Oscar Niemeyer in Curitiba, presents the public with the unique spatial thinking of Ruy Ohtake, one of the leading Brazilian architects. Through models, drawings, sketches, photographs and videos, Agnaldo Farias concentrates his extensive production spanning almost 60 years in a set of 42 projects. Among the selected works are urban projects, such as the Tietê Ecological Park; Indaiatuba Ecological Park; Heliópolis Educational and Cultural Center and Residential Condominium; and the Expresso Tiradentes. Among the buildings, there are: Hotel Unique, Aché Cultural Complex, where It houses the Tomie Ohtake Institute, characterized by a large lobby that connects eight exhibition rooms and other complements of the institution, in São Paulo; Alvorada Hotel, in Brasília and the Brazilian Embassy, in Tokyo.

The Tomie Ohtake Institute brings together pieces of furniture, objects and finishing materials created by Ohtake. Since 1995, Ruy has been creating pieces in a wide range of materials: porcelain, wood, steel, glass, innovatively resistant porcelain and silver. The focus of the The presentation of these pieces seeks to carefully unravel their proximity to the study of materials, their behaviors and limits, in addition to a careful understanding of the production stages. In addition to original works, the exhibition brings together drawings, volumetric models, videos and interviews with the architect.
