Valuing historic architecture and revitalizing its look with contemporary pieces: this is the motivation behind
Porão Unilux , which finds inspiring curves in the original structure of Casa do Governador. The project,
winner of the Best Commercial and Public Use Environment Award from
CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis in 2019, is signed by
Beatriz Zeglin ,
Mariana Maisonnave and
Desterro Arquitetos .
A pop of color in the space, the sofa was designed by the architects. Its modular shape moves through the spaces, creating a visual identity that unifies the fragmented basement. It is also the modules that allow for different layout arrangements and a certain flexibility in composition, allowing its use for events, meetings and gatherings. The deep blue brings freshness and stands out from the concrete blocks.
The solid brick Roman arches already present in the house set the tone for the pure, almost minimalist style of the furniture. The ceiling was kept dark, allowing indirect lighting to reinforce the idea of a basement and create an intimate atmosphere.
The space continues to a more reserved area, in the center, in a meeting room that can accommodate many people. Further back, in an Instagrammable space, where a light installation called the Unilux Experience takes center stage, with a play of LED lights and mirrors. .
