CASACOR SC | Balneário Camboriú 2026 celebrates the 30th anniversary of the show in Santa Catarina with a special edition installed at Pericó Residence. Until July 19, the public will be able to explore 30 projects signed by 44 professionals who interpret the theme Mind and Heart through different perspectives on architecture, design, and landscaping. The choice of venue also inspired the projects: in addition to the show's concept, many projects dialogue with the wine journey, an identity present in the development that hosts the exhibition.

To understand how these references took shape in the exhibition spaces, we spoke with seven professionals who stood out in this edition: Emanuelli Pertile Waltrick, author of Traga Flor; Ricardo Bolsi, responsible for Estar Nexo; Mariana Maisonnave, who signs Casa ÂMAGO; Jeferson Branco, creator of Avell Desvio Rubro; Augen Arquitetura, behind Loft Acalento; the studio La Vanité, author of the Borogodó project; and Gouveia e Bertoldi, who present Living Memórias do Tempo. What were the inspirations for your project at CASACOR SC | Balneário Camboriú 2026?

Emanuelli Pertile Waltrick: The Traga Flor project was born from the intention to rescue the essence of the home as a space of memory, permanence, and meaning. At a time when everything seems disposable and fleeting, I proposed a project that values time, authenticity, and the history present in each object. The main inspirations came from Brazilian design furniture, art, collecting, and timeless architecture.

Ricardo Bolsi: The proposal of Estar Nexo was to create a space that valued togetherness, permanence, and real encounters, rescuing moments of exchange that are often replaced by digital interactions. One of the main inspirations came from the movie Her, but from an inverse perspective. While the film portrays bonds mediated by technology, the project proposes a return to human contact, everyday rituals, and physical presence.

Mariana Maisonnave: Casa ÂMAGO is born from the idea that architecture can be an invitation to slow down. At a time when we are constantly stimulated by an excess of information, I wanted to create a project that would give visitors back the feeling of presence. The main inspirations came from nature, light, materials in their truest state, and the way these elements influence our emotions.

Jeferson Branco: Avell Desvio Rubro is a red monochromatic installation that materializes the temperature of the future. The inspirations come from two fields that rarely converse. On one side, the American Luminists, Frederic Church and John Kensett, and that attempt to represent the late afternoon light that carries both hope and farewell. On the other, Cildo Meireles's Red Shift, where the saturation of a single color ceases to be aesthetic and becomes a psychological state.

Marli Scarpari, from Augen Arquitetura: The concept of Loft Acalento starts from the idea that the home should be a place of pause, welcome, and reconnection. The main inspiration lies in contemporary Brazilianness, expressed through the appreciation of our identity, natural materials, light, textures and the presence of nature. The combination of cherry-toned woods, travertine, biophilia, soft lighting and a palette of neutral tones creates a light, welcoming and timeless atmosphere, where each element contributes to awakening memories, promoting comfort and encouraging permanence.

La Vanité: The Borogodó stems from the idea that inhabiting is a cultural act and that spaces have the ability to preserve stories, awaken emotions and build affective bonds with those who experience them. The word “borogodó” represents something that is difficult to explain, but easy to feel: the unique charm, personality and authenticity that make something special. The project transforms this concept into architecture, valuing the essential and rescuing the beauty of small everyday rituals.

Edenilson Bertoldi: The project is born at the meeting point between the dynamism of urban life and the solidity of family memories. It is the design answer to an essential question: how do we inhabit modernity without losing our history? Our answer is not passive nostalgia, but living memory. In this space, the straight and organic lines, the functionality and sophistication of contemporary urban architecture do not serve to erase the past, but to frame it. It is a contemporary refuge with a heritage soul.

How does your project relate to the Mind and Heart theme?

Emanuelli Pertile Waltrick: I believe that architecture happens precisely at the meeting between reason and emotion. The mind is responsible for the technical decisions, the functionality, the proportions and the organization of spaces. The heart is what gives meaning to the project, what awakens memories, welcomes and creates affective bonds. In Traga Flor, I sought to balance these two aspects. Each choice was rationally planned, but always guided by the intention of provoking sensations and awakening memories.

Ricardo Bolsi: The relationship with the Mind and Heart theme arises precisely from the search for balance between reason and emotion, between connection and presence. Technology has brought countless advances and transformed the way we communicate, but it has also made us reflect on the quality of these relationships. Estar Nexo proposes a look at the human aspect of this transformation. It is a projects that stimulates encounters, conversations and shared moments, understanding that true connection happens when mind and heart walk together.

Mariana Maisonnave: I believe that the theme invites us to reflect on the home as a space capable of caring for people functionally and emotionally. The proposal of Casa ÂMAGO dialogues with this vision by transforming architecture into an instrument of welcoming. Each design decision seeks to promote a feeling of calm, connection and permanence. To me, mind and heart meet precisely when a space manages to unite technical rationality and human sensitivity. It is in this balance that I believe and it is how I seek to design.

Jeferson Branco: The relationship arises more from the issue that gives rise to the theme. Expanding our research on retail and the functionality of this specific project, in recent years, we have investigated why stores are ceasing to be points of sale and presenting installations, fragments of a world built to be lived in. The diagnosis behind this movement is the same one that explains why the home needs to be treated as mind and heart: hyperconnection. Desvio Rubro takes this reasoning to the limit. It is a space that does not anesthetize: it exposes. The mind enters through questioning about technology and the future; the heart, through the sensory experience of being immersed in a single color. Mind and heart not as opposites to be balanced, but as the same system under different temperatures.

Marli Scarpari, from Augen Arquitetura: The Loft Acalento materializes the Mind and Heart theme by proposing a space that balances functionality and emotion. The integration between the areas of living, working, resting and reception reflects the needs of contemporary living, while the choice of materials, lighting and vegetation creates an atmosphere capable of reducing stimuli, awakening affective memories and providing well-being. It is a projects designed to care for people through architecture, stimulating a deeper connection with oneself and with the space.

La Vanité: Borogodó reflects one of the main transformations of contemporary design: the shift away from cold minimalism towards more human, tactile and emotional projects. Exposed construction elements, dark wood, glass blocks, metals, indirect lighting and textured surfaces reinforce this search for spaces capable of promoting well-being. At the end of the journey, the projects invites the visitor to slow down. Instead of excess, it values permanence. It is a celebration of memory, affection and the beauty found in the simplest experiences of everyday life.

What does taking part in CASACOR represent in your career?

Emanuelli Pertile Waltrick: Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of becoming an architect, and being part of the largest architecture, design and landscaping show in the Americas is the fulfillment of a goal built through hard work, dedication and persistence. It is also an opportunity to present my vision of architecture: an architecture that goes beyond trends, one that values identity, meaning and longevity.

Ricardo Bolsi: Taking part in CASACOR represents an important opportunity to present my work to a wide audience and, at the same time, explore architecture in a more authorial way. The show allows us to go beyond solving a problem or meeting a specific need, creating spaces that translate ideas, values and reflections through design.

Mariana Maisonnave: CASACOR has always been an important space in shaping my professional journey. This is my sixth time taking part in the show and the first in Balneário Camboriú. More than a showcase, I see CASACOR as an opportunity to express the essence of my work and share a vision of architecture that values time, permanence and the experience of those who inhabit the spaces.

Jeferson Branco: CASACOR is where our social and behavioral research becomes matter. Each edition I took part in registered a thesis on a slice of space and time we live in, and Desvio Rubro continues that sequence. For the studio, the show works as a laboratory: it is the only format where architecture, art, furniture design and behavioral research fit into the same space, with no client and no program. It is where we test the ideas that later structure our commercial and residential projects.

Marli Scarpari, from Augen Arquitetura: CASACOR is part of the studio's trajectory and represents a space for growth. Each edition is an opportunity to present new ideas, experiment with different concepts and share with the public how we see contemporary living. It is very rewarding to be part of an event that inspires, connects professionals and drives Brazilian architecture and design.

La Vanité: More than a professional showcase, CASACOR is a moment of growth, learning and evolution. It is an invitation to step out of the comfort zone, explore creativity and authentically show the essence of our work. Being in this space means having the opportunity to transform ideas into experiences, create connections with people through the projects and share my vision on how spaces can welcome, move and tell stories.

Edenilson Bertoldi: Taking part in CASACOR is one of the greatest turning points in the career of an architect or interior designer in Brazil. More than designing a project, the show works as a highly impactful strategic showcase. The experience transforms the professional's positioning in the job market and adds value.
