Staffan Holm designs silent table and furniture for Japanese brand

Holm for Abstract

Contrary to what it may seem, tables, especially large ones, are items that contribute to noise pollution. The sounds are reflected by the surface of the top and end up generating ambient noise. It was with this question in mind that Abstracta, in partnership with award-winning designer Staffan Holm, developed Jetty .

With two sizes available – two and a half meters and five meters – the Jetty works both as a work or conference table. Despite its dimensions, the piece is very easy to handle and transport due to its recycled aluminum composition.

Its biggest difference, however, is that it is a silent table: layers of natural materials absorb ambient noise and cancel out sound reflection. Thanks to this, Jetty is able to create more aesthetically and sonically pleasing environments.
