Milan 2019: Nendo everywhere

Nendo Studio , led by designer and architect Oki Sato, is one of the greatest representatives of Japanese minimalism and one of the most influential names in design today. For some time now, this clean and fluid aesthetic has become a strong trend around the world (so much so that the topic even became a documentary on Netflix).

Visitors from all over come eager to discover what the studio has created this year for Design Week . Always with impeccable collections and installations that stimulate the senses and reflection, Estúdio Nendo surprises the public. And this time, it's not just is for less. They are present in 10 brands and will also present a solo exhibition, called Nendo: Breeze of Light, in partnership with Daikin, an air conditioning company.

Although invisible, the installation aims to make visitors reflect on the importance of air for all forms of life and to visualize it through sensations. A virtual flower garden will be illuminated with 115 individually controlled spotlights that will direct the light for 17,000 flower-shaped polarizing films. The changes in light intensity produce the effect of a breeze passing through the garden. It must be incredible!
